Product Design:  The Special Ops Team is our first place to go for help with cool shirt designs, bumper stickers, license plate frames, mousepads, etc.  This is fun and artistic vision stuff.  Embroidered activity badges and jackets are also on our to-do list.  Who knows what we will think up next?  Come in to contribute your creative input!

Or maybe you're an aspiring Photographer or Filmmaker/Editor...

[column col="1/3"]

Photography:  The Special Ops Team always has need for both aerial and ground-based photography of airplanes, scenery, and especially our community of people.  We use photos on our website, in the Flight Center office, in our newsletters or emails, and in promotional materials.  We need photographers (and photo archivists) and people who know how to crop, edit, select, resize, etc.  Even scrap-booking skills are in high demand.

Video Production/Streaming:  Special Ops is looking to create a variety of videos to capture the fun of flying and the experiences of our members.  Are you a filmmaker in need of a cool new project?  Come help us!  SCFC will also soon be streaming our safety seminars and classes online.  We are looking for experts in sound and video capture as well as technical volunteers to help with streaming architecture to allow members to view events live from their home or any internet-connected workstation.

Or do you just flat out LOVE aviation to want to get involved in the community?

 [column col="1/3"]

Greeter/Welcomer:  It can be a daunting challenge to walk into a flight school for the first time, with a mind full of questions and no clear idea where to get answers.  Special Ops Team members act as a volunteer greeter a couple of hours per month.  They are at the Flight Center office, on hand to help welcome in new people to the SCFC community.  Greeters also assist Flight Center staff in taking photos of activities and escorting flight passengers to the flight line.  It's a great way to share your love of aviation with a potential new member.

Event Planning: SCFC holds many fun and educational events, both at the SCFC office and hangar, and on FlyOutGroup trips to exciting distant destinations.  There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into putting on an amazing pilot event, and Special Ops Team members are put to great use.  If you like event planning, and you are good with details, then Special Ops needs you.

Fundraising:  San Carlos Flight Centers sponsors the Upwind Summer Scholarship Program which provides a summer of flight training to one lucky local high school senior each year.  Through the year, we hold a variety of fundraising events to raise money for the program.  You can help make a difference in the life of a young pilot!
